CD Release Party
Apr 23, 2011 live shows
WOW!!!!
Last night was killer. Isaac & I extend our deepest gratitude for a truly special evening.
Howlers was shaking; people were dancing, clapping, and screaming for more. The Freya rocked their chamber music hearts out, & The Isaac Merz Band became the sound heard around Pittsburgh. It was an evening not to be forgot.
Again, your support means the world. From The Isaac Merz Band Sextet, Thank You.
Enjoy the album,
Michael

At Papa Js
Jun 2, 2010 live shows
On May 28th, Isaac and Michael rocked Papa Js Centro downtown at the corner of Boulevard of the Allies and Market St. This restaurant & bar is located in one of the oldest buildings in Pittsburgh, and it once functioned as a brothel. The woodwork in the former madame’s room is still intact, although it now functions as a beautiful dining space.
Thanks to bartender Jeff Holt and all the people who came down to hang out!

The Z-Lounge
May 24, 2009 live shows
The night was scarce when it was 4 to 2. The Penguins were ahead with seven left in the third. The Posh Army ROCKED their Cleveland hearts out on the stage. Second floor of the Z-Lounge, laying down gritty swing riffs over rocksolid bass lines. Where were you?
6-2! Die hard Pittsburgh fans sprawled onto E. Carson st. Screaming “Lets Go Pens” at the top of their lungs, but an occasional”I.A.M_” slipped through. Keeping it real for sports & local music, the party began. We pulled out a new one for the crowd. “Deconstruction” with it’s up-tempo punch of the verse making way for an apocalyptic chorus and ending.
Closing out the night was the timeless, the energtic, The Hood Gang, letting looses and blowing up the stage with their rendition of Prince’s Purle Rain.
All and all the night was a blast. Thanks to the staff at the Z-Lounge for putting up with a bunch of rockers that dress up like super heros or cross dress the night away.
And none of it would be possible without all the peoples that showed up supporting our cause. Props to: Grant, Emily, Sara, Regan, Erin, Andrew, Dustin & friends, Anna, Don Merz, Caroline, and to all the others that have slipped through my recovering memory.
Thanks to all,
I.A.M_ michæl
